ANYWAY!! After all is said and done...my oddly high numbered wristband (646) got me onto the black carpet for the premiere of the year! Ok...so, sure, not REALLY on the carpet, try 10 feet away...on a platform. So, heck I wasn't even touching the floor technically. But I figured, ok...at least I'm here (well, everytime I started grumbling about not having a better place, I kept repeating that over and over to myself). Then I decided that since I was on a platform, I would have good pictures from the carpet! Ummm...like many things that went wonky throughout our time in Breaking Dawn, Section 8, complete confusion and organized chaos...even that didn't work out. And here's why...people didn't start walking the carpet until after sundown; normally, not a bad thing...but because my camera relies on flash and people are constantly moving on a carpet...it had a tough time focusing. Another issue? I was on the "wrong side" of the carpet...last year, I faced the paparazzi so we got ALL of the talent on the carpet. This time, I faced the interview or Press line so a lot of the talent skipped our side and went directly into the theater. So, needless to say that between the lighting, the lack of talent and the NUMEROUS posters, sweaters, books and other Breaking Dawn "signable" items...I didn't do too well.
Please don't misunderstand me...I AM happy that I got a few of the cast members and some other random celebrities...so, I'll affectionately refer to this as my "B Roll" of Celebrities on the Black Carpet :) OH! and since I'm unable to identify some celebrities (my friend Tara kept telling me, "oh that's that guy/girl" so I snapped a photo) maybe you guys can help me play "Name That Celebrity" in the comment section below!

Ok, sure...we were in the Mezzanine but WHATEVER! I've already seen the movie!!! Well, almost the entire movie; Rob and Kristen took A LOT of time to sign for as many people as possible in our section so they were probably a little late to their own premiere! And since we had to go to security...we were about 10 minutes late. Guess I have something to look forward to at Midnight on Thursday/Friday! If you're looking for spoilers, you've come to the wrong place. I will not spoil anything for you guys...all I will say is that Bill Condon is my hero...and though I thought the soundtrack was amazing before I saw the movie, it is SOOO much more amazing afterward. Oh and Sleeping At Last's "Turning Page" was my favorite song going in and my favorite song going out...WEEPY CITY!!! |
