Twilight Eclipse Premiere Part 1 - from chaos to tents...

I was going to type out an entire story here...but then I realized something. You don't REALLY want to hear my story...you just want to see the pictures! Let's just point out a few key words...

1. Security - I hope that LA Live and/or Summit really paid attention to how security handled the stampede that happened on 6/21. I get it, we weren't officially supposed to be in line...but telling fans "...for all I know it'll be a mad dash" isn't exactly setting the right example. 'Nuff said.

2. Rules are rules...or are they? - interesting things happened...not really gonna comment on it but those of you who know, know. Anyway, the rule I'm talking about is the "once banded, he/she may choose to leave and come back on the day of the event, 6/24 during designated time". Yes, this was Summit's original rule. Without it, I wouldn't have even tried. There's just no way that #1 my husband and #2 work would allow me to camp out for 4 days straight. at 5:30am someone changed the rules. Thankfully, my Twi-sistas (suck it!) allowed me to come and go and in turn, I helped feed them and hung out as often as I could, including 1 sleepless night on Chick Hearn Avenue in front of Staples Center.

3. Twi-cast rocks my socks - I read all about the Twi-cast who came to Tent City on 6/23 and immediately they made me all warm and fuzzy. These guys don't really NEED to do this...they WANT to do this; and thankfully I was able to meet Charlie Bewley (oh my wow...'nuff said) and see Kiowa Gordon wake up a few gals at 1:30am.

4. Signs are evil - when we arrived into our little cattle cage, we were plagued by signs and the Wall of Rob, the 8th Wonder of the World. Thankfully these gals were lovely and no longer held those signs up when the carpet started to fill up.
5. Rob is hot - 'nuff said.

6. Sometimes people surprise you - after the carpet emptied out we noticed people running and had no idea what was going on. We then found out that the first 500 people to receive tickets were GOING TO SEE ECLIPSE with the cast!! Immediately we sprawled out to see if we could get tickets...only to see that our fate was in the hands of the one security guard to truly despised our little group. Earlier that morning I calmly and nicely asked him a question and he seemed ok with me...but others, they had issues. So I believed there was NO WAY we'd get in...that is until he saw me...walked right over to me met by my "please?" and he asked me how many in our group. He handed me 5 tickets and WE WERE IN! That's right...we saw Eclipse 1 week before it's due out in theaters...WITH THE CAST!! I breathed diluted Rob Pattinson air for 2 hours while watching the best film of the saga (so far)!

7. Rob is hot - oh, nothing more...just wanted to say it ;)

The Twilight Convention - Day 2, 3/13/10

Please read: I don't mind if you use my pictures...just please don't forget to site my blog as your source :D

Welcome to Day 2 of the Los Angeles Twilight Convention :) Did you enjoy Day 1? I hope so! And if you didn't, hopefully Day 2 will help make you love me again ;). Yep...Day 2...the day of the wolves and a Volturi - this was a day that I was totally looking forward to...cuz wow Alex Meraz is just...wow. Who'd have thunk that I'd walk away thinking..."wow, Chaske, Alex and Charlie are just...wow"? Of course there's love for Kiowa too...but he's just too young for this cougar ;)

First guest of the day was Chaske Spencer. He plays Sam, the alpha of the Quileute wolf-pack, fiance of Emily. He's the guy who finds Bella in the woods...the guy who tries to break up the altercation between Paul and Bella...the guy who changed first when the Cullens arrived. Chaske appears to be one of the sweetest guys ever...and Tinsel Korey really couldn't have spoken any higher of him than she did the day before.

I was fortunate enough to have one of my questions answered by Chaske :) Drew from the Hillywoods (he plays Jasper, rather convincingly I might say!) was the one who delivered the question - not me personally, which would've been nice. My question was - "you have such an amazing voice...have you ever considered voice over work?" His answer was something like, he's focusing on movies (makes sense) but has been approached for voice over work...and in fact, did some in the past. He worked on "Red Dead Revolver" which is a video game...and he said that he got shot a lot so all he did was grunt and make dying noises. LOL!

My goodness I wish I could remember what the heck he was talking about at this time...take a look at the exhuberant laughter!!

Here's a shot of Hanna and Hilly Hindi (I think I got that right) of the Hillywood show. They obviously play Alice and Bella...and I gotta say, I <3 Alice!! She is just like her character!! She even mentioned that she met Ashley Greene, who plays Alice, and Ashley said that SHE should've been cast because she's so darn small and pixie like!

This is Kyle, who obviously plays Jacob in the Hillywood show parodies. I felt REALLY bad for him...because yes, he had to walk around ALL day long without a shirt. AND Of course, he was meant to be eye candy all-day-long. Poor guy...

Kiowa Gordon was next to hit the stage. He plays Embry, Jacob's good friend who shows up at the garage when Bella and Jacob are working on the motorcycles. He was also the first of the trio (Embry, Quil and Jacob) to turn into a werewolf.

Chaske mentioned that Kiowa is pretty shy...and I have to admit, it showed. He was generally uncomfortable up on stage...wasn't as animated as Chaske or Justin. And the answers to his questions were generally 1 line sentences...someone asked him what his name meant, in one native language it means "courageous one" in another native language it means "horse"...so he joked that he could be called a "courageous horse".

But then he got so bored of not being able to see people that he decided to jump into the crowd and visit those of us toward the back of the convention room.

Did I mention that people think he's shy? Well, he may be shy while he's talking but get that boy in front of his band, Touche and he turns into another person!! What's the type of music that he and his band do? Well...it's emo rock...but Twilight Lexicon tweeted a very appropriate term was "screamo" LOL! I couldn't understand a single word he said...but it looked like he was having fun!

Someone asked him if he was any good at impressions...and so he gave us his best Edward/Robert Pattinson impression. It was hilarious!!

Now here's one guy that I was totally looking forward to seeing in person, Alex Meraz. He plays Paul, the awnry, sometimes grumpy wolf with the shortest fuse. He's the one who gets into a tussle with Bella...after she slugs him, he transforms in front of her...and that's when she finds out Jacob's big secret when he comes to her rescue.

So here's something I noticed a lot...I have quite a few pictures where the cast is generally looking in our direction. So either there were A LOT of distractions in our area or the green light that I kept seeing focus on their faces was attracing their attention. HAHAHAHA! Either way, it worked to my benefit ;)

To be honest, I don't really remember a whole bunch of what he spoke about...but I do remember someone bring up the "incident" between him and Kristen Stewart/Bella. Apparently he is really into character acting...which means, he decided that since his wolf character barely gets any sleep, he too would stay awake for days at a time. He lived on caffeine...and unfortunately had one too many during the scene that he confronts Bella near Jacob's house. When he asks her "what did he tell you?" he literally reached for Kristen's throat and strangled her...SCARY!! He said that the whole production team froze...lots of whispers...someone told him, ummmm, don't do that. But he said that Kristen was totally on-board...she liked his energy.

The final cast member of the day was Charlie Bewley. He plays Demetri, a member of the Volturi guard. His part was small...but he left an impact with me cuz I ADORED the way he delivered his lines. Of course, he IS British...so I think maybe that swung my bias a bit...I swear, I could listen to someone reading the phone book as long as he had a British accent. In fact, someone around me quickly picked up on the fact that Charlie actually sounds a little bit like Robert Pattinson! :)

This man simply OOZES charm and confidence. He sat in the seat, not answering questions for at least 2 minutes. He took in all the screams and flashbulbs in true style :)

HAHA! What's up with the finger in the mouth?!

Charlie led an interesting life before becoming an actor; he used to sell stripper poles in London! Of course, many requests came from the audience for him to demonstrate the stripper pole...but one gal took it upon herself to volunteer to be "the pole"! LOL! And guess what? He used it! LOL!!

Charlie was the last cast member to venture out into the audience where he took a few questions. We were trying feverishly to get him to our section of the convention hall so the gals behind me (absolute sweethearts) persuaded the little girl (absolute cutie) to ask Charlie a question! We all raised our hands and said, "the kid! here's a kid!" and it worked! He made his way over and the question was asked...which of course, I don't remember anymore.

That's it :) Oh wait...there's just a smidge more ;) This was the first day of our photo-ops with the cast members! Most members were $40 or $50 each...so we opted for the group shots which were $89 (for the wolf-pack) and $79 (for the Cullens). I have to admit...I was REALLY bummed I didn't take a picture with Charlie...he was absolutely amazing! Next time, I'm riding the "D(emetri) train" :)

Here's my photo with the wolves - it was a whirlwind of activity. The butterflies were definitely out in full-force as we walked into the room and the cast members were getting their pictures taken with the fans. Music was blaring...obviously music that Chaske REALLY loved...really high energy...in fact, he was quite bouncy. Also, as you can tell, Kiowa was wearing an In-n-Out hat throughout the entire photo session...how did he get it to stay on his head in that precarious position?! And LOVE LOVE LOVE Chaske for the shaka!!

My neice Megan couldn't pass up the chance to be photographed with the wolf-pack. She was after me...and she said that Chaske literally grabbed her by the arm and placed her next to him (nicely, of course). We were all pretty nervous about what we would like like in the photos...and to be honest, I didn't even remember a PERSON taking our pictures, I thought it was a camera on a tri-pod. LOL! Well, needless to say, Megan was a little sad by the look on Kiowa's face...I wonder what he was trying to say? LOL!

Well, that's Day 2...it was quite an amazing day :) Please be on the lookout for Day 3...filled with yummy Kellan Lutz and Peter Facinelli (who I already knew was good looking...but in person?! WOW!)

Catch ya on the flipside!

Twi-fecta via Kimmel & Hot Topic Tour

November 6th, 2009 Hollywood taken by a Twi-storm:

By now, you've all seen Jimmy Kimmel's interview with the holy twi-nity countless times. I gotta say, being there...well it was truly an amazing experience to be so close to the 3 of them AND to see them all interviewed on one show.

Can you believe the riot that 3 people, yes...mere people with extraordinary circumstances can cause in one afternoon? Well imagine these 3 plus an entire cast of extraordinary people AND a crowd of hundreds of screaming fans waiting to see them.

Yes, I was part of the mayhem...but mostly the controlled mayhem across the street at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio. I had to make a tough decision; risk going to Jimmy Kimmel or go to the HT Tour.  I chose the intimate venue with the Twi-fecta rather than the mass at Hollywood & Highland (although to my surprise, I was sorta able to do both).

The show gave us the opportunity to ask any cast member any question we wanted...and so, I turned to Twitter to see what people wanted to know.  The overwhelming question was "when is the stoli shirt going to make an appearance?" So, I asked...unfortunately, my question wasn't sarcastic enough (the overwhelmingly common sense of humor of Jimmy's people) so it wasn't chosen. However, a question that I gave another gal, Ana, on behalf of a Twitter follower WAS chosen and she got to ask Robert Pattinson (::nummy::) if the misbuttoning of his shirt was a fashion statement or if he just dressed in a hurry. The panicked look on his face when he thought that he had misbuttoned his shirt that day was priceless.

When the filming was done and we exited the studio; the euphoria of sitting 4 rows away from these 3 beautiful people began to wear off.  That's when I heard it-the exhuberant screaming from across the street...that meant the Hot Topic Tour was still going on! I had a chance to see everyone else! We found the best spot we could and I pulled out my trusty camera and was able to snap a few pictures. I know there are tons out there that are better...but heck, I was 3 stories up and had a terrible vantage point...and who cares? They may be crappy pictures...but they're my memories ;) Enjoy!
