Comic-Con 2009 & Twilight Extravaganza...

Yes, another throwback to 2009. Hey, can I be faulted for talking about something old if I didn't have a blog back then? Plus, there are pictures of A LOT of the New Moon gang...Robert Pattinson ::nummy::, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner ::still 17::, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Rachelle LeFevre, Elizabeth Reaser, Christian Serratos, Michael Welch, Noot Seer, Anna Kendrick, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kiowa Gordon, and Justin Chon. Now if that's not a reason to check this blog out then I don't know what else to bribe entice you with...Johnny Depp perhaps? ;)

To this day...this picture totally makes me giggle. Does Comic-con know Twihards or what?! Well, Twihards and geeks of all kinds, I guess. "No running!", I LOVE IT!!  This was the screen that greeted us once we made our way through security to get into Hall H (after waiting outside for 4 hours; not bad, others waited 2 days). We got as comfy as we could (those chairs hurt the patootie) and settled in for 3 hours of fluff before the New Moon Panel.

Fluff may be a harsh word...cuz it was anything but fluff (well, sometimes), particularly when we were surprised by a visit from Johnny Depp (can I just say...the room was DEAFENING when this man walked out on-stage, I mean, come on...a room filled with mostly Twihards who are women...DEAFENING). Also caught of glimpse of Freddie Highmore (I swear I kept saying, OMG he's so big and look hw cute he is over and over again) and Kristen Bell (who I think might give Reese Witherspoon a run for her "All American Sweetheart" title).

And then, that's when it happened...FINALLY the last part of the Summit portion of Comic-Con...THEY were coming out! Amid the screams of elation and groans of men and other non-Twihards...they emerged from the side of the stage. Ashley, Kristen, Taylor, Rob and Chris. I have to admit, I wanted more people up there cuz I had heard that most of the cast was going to be in San Diego.

Forgot to mention 1 thing...the hubs and I were in the middle of the HUGE room so picture taking was a little tricky. Thankfully my hubs (have I mentioned how patient he is?) bought me an amazing camera and took over picture taking duty to let me revel in the experience of it all. I swear I turned to him and flatly said, "Take as many pictures of Rob as you can", and can you believe it? He did! I had to giggle though cuz as many pictures of Rob that he took for me, there was always 1 picture of Ashley...who can blame him? She's gorgeous! So here are a bunch of pics that the hubs took for me...isn't he amazing?

Oh, am I missing someone?!  Oh that's right...Robert Pattinson ::nummy:: enjoy ;)

I loved these pics...the first one looks like someone asked Rob and Taylor a really hard math question.  Now, this may just be me, but when I look at the second pic I think it totally epitomizes the dynamic between Edward and Jacob...LOL! Maybe it's just me?

It's amazing to me how this man just doesn't get that he's soooooo wow. He's so unassuming and goofballish...it's GREAT!! When he fumbles, makes jokes at his own expense, or makes weird faces...makes me gush over him even more.

After the mass exodus from Hall H (the regular Comic-connies were HAPPY to see us go...they complained about us EVERYWHERE!) we headed to the theater in the Gaslamp district to wait in line (for another 5 hours) to watch Twilight and see some of the cast. Now of course by the time we got into the theater at 9:30 (!!!) Rob and Kristen had already left. I entered the theater just in time to hear the squeels and feel the push of overexcited people before I saw Taylor Lautner bounding down the stairs to leave. That meant the principal players were gone...but that wasn't going to stop me from having a good time! We were the LAST theater seated...so BIG HUGS to those cast members that stuck through it...we love them!!  Again, apologize for the pictures...a movie theater doesn't exactly have the best lighting...so, they are what they are.

So, there ya have it...a look back to July 2009. You didn't even need a time machine!! ;)

I promise, I'll have more up-to-date stuff soon...just wanted to share the 2 cool Twilight things I got to do. I'm looking forward to Twi-tour LA in March! :D

Twi-fecta via Kimmel & Hot Topic Tour

November 6th, 2009 Hollywood taken by a Twi-storm:

By now, you've all seen Jimmy Kimmel's interview with the holy twi-nity countless times. I gotta say, being there...well it was truly an amazing experience to be so close to the 3 of them AND to see them all interviewed on one show.

Can you believe the riot that 3 people, yes...mere people with extraordinary circumstances can cause in one afternoon? Well imagine these 3 plus an entire cast of extraordinary people AND a crowd of hundreds of screaming fans waiting to see them.

Yes, I was part of the mayhem...but mostly the controlled mayhem across the street at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio. I had to make a tough decision; risk going to Jimmy Kimmel or go to the HT Tour.  I chose the intimate venue with the Twi-fecta rather than the mass at Hollywood & Highland (although to my surprise, I was sorta able to do both).

The show gave us the opportunity to ask any cast member any question we wanted...and so, I turned to Twitter to see what people wanted to know.  The overwhelming question was "when is the stoli shirt going to make an appearance?" So, I asked...unfortunately, my question wasn't sarcastic enough (the overwhelmingly common sense of humor of Jimmy's people) so it wasn't chosen. However, a question that I gave another gal, Ana, on behalf of a Twitter follower WAS chosen and she got to ask Robert Pattinson (::nummy::) if the misbuttoning of his shirt was a fashion statement or if he just dressed in a hurry. The panicked look on his face when he thought that he had misbuttoned his shirt that day was priceless.

When the filming was done and we exited the studio; the euphoria of sitting 4 rows away from these 3 beautiful people began to wear off.  That's when I heard it-the exhuberant screaming from across the street...that meant the Hot Topic Tour was still going on! I had a chance to see everyone else! We found the best spot we could and I pulled out my trusty camera and was able to snap a few pictures. I know there are tons out there that are better...but heck, I was 3 stories up and had a terrible vantage point...and who cares? They may be crappy pictures...but they're my memories ;) Enjoy!

First blog...get to know me :)

Well...it's taken a while, but I finally jumped feet first into the blog pool.  I actually created this blog a few days ago but wasn't really sure what I wanted my first, all-important, mood setting blog to be.

#1 - this blog will be completely random; one day it'll be about my life (and all the humorous things that happen/have happened to me), another day it'll be about Twilight (and all things related to the saga, actors - particularly Robert Pattinson ::nummy::) and the next day it could be about any one of my other obsessions.

Which leads to #2, remember - I am a RAMBLER!!  Yes, I can go on and on about something that you may not think is important...but trust me, I will hopefully make you giggle at least once.  I don't take myself too seriously and I hope that my sense of humor will translate well.

#3 - I'm a bit on the dark side...therefore, this blog will most likely be filled with rants that range from silly to absurd.  My hubs and I were talking about a cloud that we saw while driving in to work...he said it was a "sad/happy cloud...something light on the inside but dark all around". Hello?! Whether he meant to or not...he totally described me.  Inside, I can be warm and fuzzy...but beware of the outer shell cuz it's mostly dark, dreary and low self-esteemy (yes, I tend to make words bend into ways that fit my sentiments).

#4 - I don't claim ownership of ANYTHING that I post unless it's a personal picture...and I promise not to tag anything, cuz I know how annoying it can be. Once upon a time, I used to tag my pics smack, dab in the middle...but why?! Do I care if people use my pictures? Not really...unless of course it's something that could net me a gazillion dollars, which isn't likely to happen anytime soon.

Alright, well, that's it...this is me, this is my blog; I'll try to keep it interesting and hopefully you'll come back and check it out from time to time. I will continue to learn from folks whose blogs I admire - malicious/martinimandy, laineygossip, spunkransom and other brilliant bloggers in the twi-world.

Catch ya on the flipside :)
