To the delight of many screaming fans, he stopped and signed a few Twilight related baubles and even paused to take a few pictures with lucky fans! I was surprised at how much time he took with them and how relatively calm he looked! Normally he's a ball of fidgety energy, but I only saw a few swipes of the hair when his handlers whisked him away from the fan frenzy.

Then came his time to present the award...and this is where the ball of fidgety energy made its triumphant reappearance. First, he takes the time out to congratulate a previous winner, Jenny, for her BAFTA win for Best Make-up...best part? He starts with an awkward "Hi" before continuing. I mean, how freakishly charming is that?! He had a pure moment of Art from "How To Be" on-stage...favorite moment...by far.

Being home does a boy good...he's put on some happy-to-be-home weight, grown out the hair, SHAVED THE BEARD (thank GOD!) and just appears to be a bit happier. Well, also he's working on Bel Ami with some amazingly talented actors, so yeah, who wouldn't be happy? So let's discuss the cowlick in the middle of the room - really Rob's stylist? the one random bang thing? I'm ok with the evolution of his hair...I mean, it grows...and of course, it has to be a certain "look" for the period piece he's working on...but could someone not have combed that awkwardly placed bang back?! and if someone put it there, why are they a stylist? Regardless of how that little bang offended me, he looked great (of course) and I was happy to see how comfortable he looked amidst the frenzy - maybe in a weird way, he missed the fandemonium. Don't worry Rob, in just 4 months you'll feel the frenzy again with the release of Eclipse on 6/30/2010.
I could gush about Rob all day and given how wordy I can be...you know it's true ;) So, I'll move on to the winner of the night, Kristen Stewart.
Kristen looked absolutely beautiful! Simple hair (which has grown quite a bit while hiding from the pappers), makeup and beautiful dress (which honestly I thought white wouldn't work for her given her porcelin skin...but she does look good in white!)
One thing that hasn't changed...he general awkwardness and seemingly uncomfortable in her own skin-ness shone through her acceptance speech of the Rising Star Award - voted for by regional fans. The company she kept was absolutely amazing...some of those actors have blown me away in different movies I've seen them in (primarily on BBC America - see, it can be a good thing to watch sometimes!). But thanks to devoted fans, Kristen won - a fact not lost on her as she thanks the Twi-dom for their diligence and devotion.

Best part of that video was when she firmly planted the award on the podium...everyone else remember her fumble at the MTV Movie Awards? the Popcorn Award spill? Wouldn't have gone over too well in this prestigious crowd.
Moving on...
Anna Kendrick was at the BAFTAs both as a presenter and a nominee for Best Supporting Actor for her wonderful work in Up In The Air. Unfortunately she was once again denied by Mo'nique but I still beam with pride for this quirky and talented actress - she's going to go far! And I love the dress and hair-color...way to go Anna and stylist!
It was a Twilight Saga semi-reunion! Yep folks, that's Jamie Campbell Bower (Caius) and his special lady, Bonnie Wright. Name sound familiar? It should...she plays Ginny Weasley in the OTHER amazingly popular teen series, Harry Potter.
Well that's enough from me...especially since this blog is a whopping 3 days past due. And if you're like me...trying to figure out, what the heck does BAFTA stand for? Well here ya go: British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
Catch ya on the flipside...
