Random Ramblings...

Aloha kakahiaka kakou! That means Good Morning Everyone in Hawaiian...can  you tell I had olelo (language) class last night? All we did was go over chants...but still, basic hawaiian phrases are still on the brain. Did you know that "aia i hea ka lumi ho'opaupilikia?" means, "where is the bathroom?" (more literal translation is, "where is the room where all my troubles are gone?" LOL!) by the time one gets that sentence out...there's no need for a bathroom ;)

It's been a while since I've been able to post anything...I've been lost in a world full of trips to the dentist, work and the last few days of our escrow. Let's start with the icky...

The Dentist: are you like me? someone who has an extreme phobia of dentists? Well, if you are...suck it up and go. LOL! If you don't, you'll end up like me...paying over $2K for dental work (and that's with insurance people). No, I'm not going to have dentures (it's not that bad) but yikes, the amount of work was frightening. I've had 4 appointments and still have 2 more to go (blech) but after that, all will be well. Repeat after me ::I will go to the dentist::

Work's been work...busy as usual...but fun and challenging :) that's a good thing!

Escrow: on Monday night (3/8) we went to the escrow office and signed our life away for a solid hour. I was amazed at how often my signature changed during the ordeal...I couldn't figure out why but then found out that other people have the same problem so I didn't feel like a dolt anymore. Today, (3/10) we go for our final walkthrough with our realtor and the listing realtor. We will also find out when we get our keys (which should be 3/12).

Fun stuff for the weekend: Rabid Twi-hards take note...yours truly (and 2 lovely co-horts) are attending the Official Twilight Convention at the Los Angeles Marriott! Yes...seriously. For the next few days, my blog will be FILLED with morsels of yummy information from the Twilight Convention, who we meet, what we see, what we do...yada yada.
